She meets with AJ for lunch and exposes herself a little bit more. She explains that she “thought the show was going to be different” and that she expected that production would just be at places she was supposed to
be instead of following her around creating more “chatter” leading people to believe she hasn’t changed and is still living in a world of “chaos and stress.”She didn’t want to be involved in a show “like the Kardashians.” AJ and Lindsay then have a discussion about her sobriety, and AJ is trying to understand her point of view and this is when she is at her utmost honesty, “my recovery is sacred.” She is pissed that a paparazzi has taken her picture prior to her walking into an AA meeting. The mere action makes her want to stop the show all together. She also talks about how resentful she is when people ask if she is still sober. She really feels like that is none of anyone’s business. This conversation finally feel real and feels like the authentic Lindsay. A young girl, really taking her recovery seriously for the first time in her life.
She continues to be open when Oprah comes to do a check in with her. Prior to meeting up with Lindsay, Oprah is downloaded on the events that have lead production to a standstill. Oprah seems pretty stunned and herself is
questioning Lindsay’s sobriety and if Lindsay is truly ready.
Lindsay does tell Oprah she wants it and shares that she is sober still. Oprah reacts with joy and a high five, Lindsay begins to cry. I think she is really finally proud of herself. It seems that they leave the conversation
with renewed faith that they can all work together. Hopefully Lindsay keeps up her end of the bargain.
PS – good lord the amount of clothes this girl has!! She’s got
tons of people and yet day after day the piles of clothes never seem to
diminish! Possible hoarding
