The first moderator we focus on is Dwight who showed up in his red, beat up Mercedes. Seriously Dwight, real housewives typically drive brand new Range Rovers, certainly not Mercedes circa the eighties. If you want to keep up with this crowd you really need to get a new whip. But on to more pressing issues...the party thrown for Mr.President was over the top. A few things stuck out during this party…. there seems to be some major tension between Phaedra and Apollo. There went back and forth on every little thing. Good thing she has Dwight as her dancing partner so she could keep up with the dancing secret service men. Overall, it was a civil party in comparison with what was to
Next we focus on Nene’s party entitled “Pillow Talk.” She was the moderator in lingerie of this interesting party where she posed questions to her guests about the details of their relationships in and out of the bedroom. It seemed like it could have been light hearted and funny if she could have just let go of the fact that Kenya was late, but being the queen bee of the ATL –she doesn’t let anything go. Besides Kenya’s tardiness, this party was doomed for failure for a few reasons—1) Kandi brings up earlier in the episode that Natalie has said that Todd “dates up” 2) Kandi brought up how she has seen Peter at strip clubs taking part in lap dances (Also BTW Apollo brings up how he
spends 8k there on drinks, what a moron he is, but we’ll get into that later)and 3) Nene brings up that Kenya called Natalie and Christopher’s marriage a “common law marriage.” With all the alcohol consumed it’s no surprise that after Kenya jumps up to defend herself and Christopher grabs her arm followed by Brandon getting up to remind Christopher “not to touch Kenya” this party ended in a
major brawl, probably the worst of Housewives history. There were too many people in one room with too many issues. I have yet to really understand why Apollo got so violent with Brandon. I just didn’t see why it needed to go there. If anything, Apollo is mad at Kenya, and I guess he can’t take it out on a woman, so poor Brandon got the wrath. After being pulled apart, Phaedra does her best to calm Apollo, but it’s to no avail and he goes back after Brandon. Apollo should leave with his tail between his legs, because he acted like an animal plain and simple.
Hopefully we see more drama and less violence next episode, there is really no need to take it to that level, but anything goes in the ATL
