and poor Kenya deals with the loss of her beloved dog, Velvet.
Kandi, Todd and Mama Joyce:
Kandi resolves that it is finally time to address the issues with Mama Joyce through therapy. Hallelujah because they finally seem to be getting somewhere. It appears that Mama Joyce is overly protective due to the loss of
her son and her feeling like she has to look out for Kandi. She is worried that Kandi will get taken advantage of. What she doesn’t do is give her daughter credit that she is a grown up and can handle herself fairly well. Todd also once again goes out of his way to try to reassure Mama Joyce that he is not in Kandi’s life for her money, but because he truly loves her. Time will tell if Mama Joyce is convinced.
Cynthia, Peter and Bar One:
These two are once again faced with money problems. When it comes to Peter’s business ventures, it just seems like he can never get it together. And even worse, he does not tell Cynthia about the situation and she hears it
like gossip from the blogs. Thankfully, it seems like all is worked out between them, and it looks like Bar One will not foreclose. Good thing Cynthia took matters in her own hands and opened up the Bailey School because it does seem to be doing well.
Kenya and Velvet:
We learn this episode that Kenya’s beloved dog is killed by another neighborhood dog. Kenya is distraught. She is hysterical and beside herself. Aunt Lori comes over to convey that perhaps God is making room in Kenya’s life for a child. I certainly hope this is true because it does seem like Kenya could use a bout of good luck right about now. She decides she is going to do a memorial for Velvet. Typically, I would say this is a bit over the top but given the nature of how Velvet’s life was taken, and Kenya’s over the top ways, this seems about right.
Nene just thinks she is the number 1 actress of the century– passing over scripts without reading them and just tooting her own horn, it’s just blahhh!
Mama Joyce points out that Kandi has gained 30 pounds since meeting Todd and believes Todd should be “reminding her to work out.”
Porsha tries to tell Kandi to check her staff when Porsha’s sister/assistant is in the wrong.
