coming on the horizon and there certainly was though it didn’t come to a head
until the last 10 minutes of the episode where we find the match of Carlton
versus Kyle. Surprisingly I am siding with Kyle on this one (though I don’t
agree with her when she called Carlton ‘anti-sematic’). This was a fight that
was definitely happened at the wrong place and the wrong time, but more on this
I thought it was really nice to see Kyle and Lisa coming together
to plan Ken and Mauricio’s birthday party. Though they didn’t have the same
visions initially, it was very beautiful and chic. Their rekindling of
friendship reminds me of season 1 where they were really genuine friends and
laughed a ton with each other. It’s nice to see them get back to that place.
And a nice bonus when Lisa plans a party is that we get to see the fabulous
"she she she she” Kevin Lee. He is such a character. I really enjoyed seeing him
jump in the pool with Jax. It was definitely a dream come true for Kevin.
Besides that we saw Brandi shoot her cover for her new book and
she looks phenomenal. Just gorgeous. She has been through it this season so it’s
nice to see her happy and excited about her new book. It was also precious
seeing Kim and Kimberly get matching tattoos. We also see Yolanda preparing for
Gigi’s new adventure in college in NYC. Both Kim and Yolanda are going through
the same situation. It’s nice to see the mother daughter dynamics here. I hope
to always see more of that.
Joyce meets up with Carlton for lunch to get reassurance that
Carlton isn’t putting spells on her family (honestly this is kind of a weird
story line). Carlton lets her know she would never do a thing like that. It’s a
brief encounter, but what stands out is Joyce interesting relationship with the
English language. She certainly has trouble with certain words and that gives a
good laugh here and there (I thought she has her master’s in education?!).
We end with the actual party which was going so well, so smooth
until the end where Carlton brings up that she has heard Kyle’s been talking
behind her back. Again these two just can’t seem to get it together. I blame it
mostly on when misunderstanding meets miscommunication. They just can’t stop to
listen to each other. Also, Kyle seems to think Carlton has judged her right
from the start and I have to agree. Carlton has never really given Kyle a chance
and now the nice gift Kyle gave to Carlton is “sitting in water, being
cleansed.” Oh good lord, really?! Finally, Carlton gets up to go, which I think
was the right move, it was a nice birthday party- let’s not ruin it. The
interesting point here is that Brandi does side with Kyle. Dream team what?!?!
Smart move, because I have to give it to Kyle
Next episode…. Looks like Brandi is up to challenge Lisa, good
luck with that!
