|my beautiful storm||
The HBIC is back from the slammer and better than ever!!
The one thing that I thought was glaringly obvious during this sit down was a just basic lack of remorse or regret from either Guidice’s. I expected an over pouring of emotions and you really didn’t see much of that. Andy asked some very pointed questions and neither would directly address those questions. Perhaps they both are still processing the outcome or maybe they really are “numb to it” like Teresa stated. I do feel that Teresa was an unknowing participant in Joe’s illegal activities, she trusted him indefinitely and in the end that is what got her in trouble. Joe did admit that he used Teresa because she had the better credit and in a roundabout way, stated that he knew what he was doing was wrong (not sure if he really knew that it was against the law, I still question if they really aren’t in tune with their actions or if they are just totally naïve and ignorant).
When Teresa talked about having the conversation with Gia about their sentencing, she described Gia trying to be strong for her mother and saying she would do whatever it takes to help her dad. Teresa mentioned that Gia even said, “This will be practice for when I am a Mom,” and that made Teresa cry. As a mother I feel that these kids are the innocent victims in the whole fiasco. To be without parents for that long of a period of time is just heartbreaking. I do feel like it’s important for them to talk with the other girls so they find out from their parents and not from another source.
Finally, Joe does admit that he doesn’t want Teresa to go to prison and she doesn’t deserve it. Andy asks a few questions about what Teresa thinks prison will be like and again, she doesn’t really respond to his questions, just talks about her daughters.
The next part looks like there will be a little more direction, and a little more answers. For right now, after seeing this, there are only more questions lingering for the Guidice’s.
This episode focused on Teresa and Joe’s legal issues. The whole gang gets word that Joe is going to prison for 5 years. Both Amber and Melissa call Teresa to find out more details. She tells them that
what has been leaked to the press is not true. Amber especially seems affected and cries to Teresa. Amber feels like she has been through something similar. While it’s agreed that they have both been through serious issues and serious pain, the circumstances are pretty different, but I guess in the end they are both fighting for their lives in one way or another. Dina and Melissa get together and decide Teresa could definitely use a vacation. Teresa is touched and agrees. Dina has the ladies over to discuss her new Project Ladybug event. She wants to get all the ladies involved and they seem
very enthusiastic. Amber pulls Teresa G aside to discuss the recent conversation they had with Victoria Gotti. They both agree that they are going to keep the conversation between them and do not want to get involved. While they are discussing that insane piece of gossip, Nicole tells Dina and Melissa about the
text that Bobby received from Amber discussing how mad she is at Bobby. Nicole
feels like Jim needs to deal with Bobby directly and doesn’t think that the
ladies should be involved. I would tend to agree.
end of the episode we learn that both Teresa and Joe plead guilty to mortgage
and bankruptcy fraud. Their lawyer releases a statement from Teresa about how
she respects the judicial system and will accept whatever the consequences will
be. The lawyer is hoping for probation and not prison time for Teresa. The
sentencing was scheduled for September 23rd but has
just gotten pushed to October 2nd. I am sure
the family is on pins and needles.
We start the episode learning that Melissa’s aunt has passed away. Amber shows up with food and support and they hug. It looks like they are getting passed the issues they had with Nicole and
are moving forward.
Nicole discusses Bobby with her mother. She is concerned that he is not on the same page as Nicole. She talks it over with her sister. They all wants to make sure Bobby is the best for her. Nicole is over everyone worrying about her relationship. To spice things up, Nicole sends Bobby a sexy selfie.
Weird that older people do that stuff….but anyway….
Melissa and Teresa hang out and watch “Godfather” and drink wine. It seems that they truly have put everything behind them. Nice to see them hang out without the claws out.
Dina is still down on the dumps about her failing marriage, but also doesn’t seem to be in a rush to end it. If she wants her story line to get any better, she is going to have to make a decision here.
The twins, their parents as well as Reno and Bobby go out to dinner for valentine’s day. They all share sweet stories about their relationships.
Teresa does an appearance and Amber shows up in support. An unexpected guest appears as well and it’s Victoria Gotti. She invites them over after the appearance and despite Amber being leery she goes anyway. Victoria explains that she has meet Reno before when he was single after his break up.
After she had a surgery, he appeared at her bedside with a watch. She wasn’t interested in him but he tells her that his marriage broke up because he cheated on Teresa with her mother, Santa. OMFG!!!!! BOMB!!! Teresa and Amber are in shock as they should be. It will be interesting to see where they go with this information. It’s so major and JUICY!
The dinner at Pontevecchio was nice but mostly because we meet Rosie’s new girlfriend Ellen. Looks like these two are definitely falling in love, if they haven’t already. Rosie was concerned that this would never happen for her but she seems so happy, so confident, so self-assured next to her lady.
She even makes a toast to her. Everyone deserves their happy ending.
Meanwhile, Nicole still wants an apology from Amber. She decides to reach out and set up a lunch. Hesitantly, Amber agrees but more on that later.
We watch as Gia turns 13. She has decided against a party, but the Guidice’s do gift her with something very special. A ring passed down from Teresa’s mother to her and now to Gia. There is an especially sweet moment between Joe and Gia when he asks her if she has kissed a boy. Gia admits to it, and Joe says “he’s gonna kick his butt.” Joe may have his faults, but he is really good with his girls, no denying that.
Joe Gorga decides to bring Melissa to the facility where they will have the confidential documents they pick up during their routes disseminated. They meet with the scientist that gives them a tour. Apparently it is Joe’s idea that Melissa will be the “ambassador” of the business. Basically he just wants her to flash her smile and get the business men to agree to purchase. She tries to follow the process that the scientist describes but she is at a total loss. Good luck with that.
Dina and Teresa get together to create vision boards. If only life were that easy and you could paste magazine cut outs onto corkboard and all would work out. Dina, we know you are the queen of Namaste, but when it comes to Teresa’s problems, she needs more than a vision board to get her
And finally Amber and Nicole meet. Amber explains that she told Melissa she had heard things but by no means meant anything maliciously. In the
end they both apologize and we can only hope they actually move
We start right where we left off the prior episode. Joe is in Jim’s face and Jim threatens to call the police. The squabble calms quickly, but Teresa Guidice asks Jim for an explanation as to why he doesn’t want to be around her and Joe. Jim babbles on about how he is trying to protect them. None
of it makes sense nor is going anywhere so he tries to distract by saying, “does anyone have an IQ of above 12?” Just so ridiculous and Dina storms off, rightfully so. He definitely has Napoleon complex or something, because he really tries hard to be insulting to distract from his irrationality.
Afterwards, Nicole tells Bobby that is he ever talks to Amber again, they are over. He doesn’t take the threat lightly but after meeting with Jim and Amber, he ends up being very team Nicole. Both Amber and Jim are sad that the friendship with Bobby is over.
Meanwhile, Dina meets up with Matt for a date. She thinks she is being stood up but he finally shows and they chat. She ends up feeling like he is too young and not that bright, sorry Matt.
Melissa and the twins meet and Melissa actually makes a good point. They are more mad at her for Jim’s behavior then they realized and I believe it’s true, I think Amber is tolerable, but her husband is god awful. It sucks that his bad behavior makes her look like crap as well.
Amber meets up with Dina and Teresa Guidice for a spa date. The scene is actually pretty funny because they are getting facials with nightingale droppings. EEW!! They end up chatting about the party and Amber states that she feels very attacked and felt like Melissa went out of her way to stir up
trouble. Dina agrees and I have to say in this situation I do too. I think Melissa wasn’t feeling Amber’s return in her life right from the start and this whole fight with the twins gave Melissa good reason to X Amber out of the equation.
A cute moment with Dina and Lexi is when they go to get matching tattoos. They seem to really have an amazing mother- daughter bond. It’s nice to see.
And finally, Melissa and Amber meet up. I thought Melissa’s first comment was VERY below the belt,
“How’s your head feeling?” Just totally unnecessary and mean. I would have gotten up and left right then! Melissa stands her ground when she says that Amber started the aggression. Amber says she told Melissa she had heard rumors about Nicole, but Melissa is stern that Amber said flat out that Nicole was a home-wrecker. I don’t remember the exact language but I think that Amber was just saying in general she had heard things, never that she necessarily believed it. Both of them feel that since they reconnected each have had nothing but problems. Look like this friendship is a bust…
This episode we focus on the lead up to Bobby’s first responders party and the party (or shitshow) itself. For starters I didn’t really get the whole first responders party. Bobby stated it was to “bring awareness”but I didn’t see anything during that party that was giving those party goers any kind
of insight into the job of a first responder. The only thing that party did was give chicks a poor excuse to dress slutty and give the dudes an excuse to get drunk. But, I digress…
Leading up to the party, the ladies fill Teresa Guidice in on the fact that Jim doesn’t want to be around her husband. Old Teresa would have flipped. New Teresa was like it ain’t no skin off my back. Nice to see her take the high road in this situation. I guess her legal battles are giving her a new
perspective on what to fight for and what to let go. It’s interesting how she and Joe are pretty unmoved by the whole thing but everyone else gets pretty fired up about it.
The party- Teresa and Nicole basically fill everyone at the party about the situation with Amber. To be honest, I didn’t think what she said was that big of a deal. Teresa, if you aren’t a home wrecker then tell everyone and that’s it keep it moving. It just seemed like a really stupid comment to get so
worked up over, but I guess being new to the show they wanted to put it out there that they don’t take no crap.
Amber and Jim arrive and Jim is very friendly and kind to both the Guidice’s. Amber greets twin Teresa and there is a very cold reception. Amber, Teresa, Nicole and Melissa gather to have a confrontation. It seemed like it was Amber’s intention to step aside and have the conversation (the more mature thing to do) but the twins wanted an audience so they just started in right away. There is immediate hair pulling and Amber yells out, "this is why he won’t marry you.” Amber also states that she never made the homewrecker comment… and as she is being pulled away by Jim she yells, “I hope you are happy Melissa.” OUCH! I really thought it was messed up how Melissa basically set the stage for this
blow out and then just let it all get to that point. She, from my perspective is just as guilty for perpetuating the situation. Jim and Amber make their way upstairs and Amber heads right for the door while Jim dramatically puts a ball of hair on the counter in front of Bobby. Reno jumps right into the mix and tells Jim he is a “jerk off.” Joe Gorga questions him and Jim pathetically tries to explain things but in the end he says “I work with the same prosecutor that is charging your brother in law
you dumb F.” End scene. Next week the war battles on and it appears that is going to be everyone versus Amber.
Other cute tidbits: I thought Amber and Jim’s kids in the
commercial were adorable.
Dina meets the young guy Teresa wants to set her up with and is
embarrassed that she dressed in scrubs instead of something more revealing. She
awkwardly tries to handle the attention and when he asks her out, she agrees to
a group date.
This episode we watch as the men of the RHONJ start setting up the foundation of which sure will turn into a big argument between them.
We also watch as Teresa Guidice continues to worry about the future of her family. Amber and Melissa continue to question the other and it’s to be seen if they will rekindle their prior
Teresa Guidice: Teresa has decided to start a dessert line to help her family with their growing legal and financial problems. She invites the ladies over for a taste test. She and her girls get dolled up for the occasion and a photographer joins to take pictures. Some things that certainly haven’t changed--- Milania’s sass!! She even calls the photographer a“butthole!” I am glad Teresa has her girls to keep her laughing, she definitely needs it. She puts on a brave face for her party but when Amber gets emotional watching Teresa with Audriana, Teresa and Melissa tear up almost immediately. It must be very difficult to move forward when something that heavy is weighing on you. Later on
in the episode Dina has a visit from her medium friend James Van Pragh who reads Teresa. He tells her that “she will be ok, but he doesn’t know about Joe.” Tough words to hear and she breaks down wondering “why this is all happening to her?” Watching her break down is heart breaking. I really feel for her.
Amber and Melissa: Amber is still wondering if she and Melissa can have a genuine friendship again. Amber brings up her annoyance over the twins inviting so many people to her harvest party. At this point, one would think she would be over that by now, but instead Amber tells Melissa that she
heard rumors that Teresa “broke up a family.”
Jim and Bobby get together and Bobby suggests a guy’s night out. Jim immediately tells Bobby he can’t hang out with the Joe’s because of the fights that have happened between them in the past. It sounds like a really lame excuse and then he says that he has to distance himself from Joe Guidice between of his charges of mortgage fraud given that he is in the mortgage business and works with the legal system. I don’t know how valid these feelings about the mortgage situation are. Maybe there is some truth to it, time will tell.
The guys all join in for a guy’s night out of drinking and bowling. Jim’s absence comes up between them. Bobby basically defends Jim and tells the group he doesn’t want to be around the conflict. Joe Gorga isn’t buying it…
Melissa meets up with the twins for some shopping. The twins tell Melissa about how Jim did not go with the guys and the reasons behind it. Melissa immediately defends Joe Guidice. It’s nice to see Melissa on their side for once. Then Amber comes up… the twins tell Melissa that Amber used to talk crap about Melissa, in typical housewives fashion she immediately tells them that Amber called Nicole a “homewrecker.” The twins are so pissed they literally walk out of the store with the clothes they were trying on still on their bodies and are on their way to confront Amber. They finally come to their
senses and decide showing up at her house isn’t the right thing to do.
Next week looks so MAJOR!! Fights in costumes… who can beat that!!
Before I left for my vacation I was ecstatic to see Bravo was running old RHONJ episodes. For those of you that don’t know me personally, let me just tell you nothing tickles me more than a vintage housewives marathon. I record them all so I can watch at my leisure. It’s my extra special indulgence
of my guiltiest pleasure!
It was nice going down memory lane with the lovely ladies of those first two seasons, Caroline, Jacqueline, Teresa, Dina and Danielle (aka Beverly, aka whatever her real name is!). Besides the
ridiculousness that is Danielle, I immediately was drawn in by Teresa. I had forgotten how she used to be, and by used to be I mean how carefree, vivacious, funny, bubbly and happy she appeared during those first 2 seasons. Even immediately follow her notorious table flip she was kissing Joe and making funny statements. Even though that was the technical “darkest” part of that season she still had the energy to laugh and smile. She was very in love with her family and her husband and nothing pleased her more than to have her 4 daughters in matching outfits. Her most insulting comments were things like skank or ho-bag but “honey” immediately followed. The more recent seasons we have witnessed a very different Teresa. One could call her calculated, conniving, devious, spiteful, jealous and malicious
on a good day. You rarely hear that good old Teresa squeal or the giddy laugh. You more often to hear her be combative than lighthearted. She is by far the most notorious NJ housewife and her life has been anything but picture perfect. It seems her life has really gotten away from her and one wonders if it is due to the price of reality fame. She started out with financial troubles with her
home, then Joe was being sued by a partner, then he was being charged with using his brother’s license, then he was charged with a DUI after the famous incident where immediately following an accident he chugged shots of alcohol. Now onto the mother of all legal dramas, both Guidice’s are facing up to 50 years in prison due to charges of multiple counts of fraud. Her family troubles have
spilled onto the screen as well. She infamously battled her sister in law and brother regarding many issues ranging from rumors of Melissa cheating to Melissa being a copycat, to her being a stripper. Her relationship with her cousins, Rosie and Kathy also took hits as well as her relationships with her other on screen frienemies, Caroline and Jacqueline. No matter where the audience turned Teresa had issue with them all. Every time she took one step forward with her friends and family, she would immediately turn around and screw them over again, sending them more than 2 steps back. Only now that Bravo has expelled Caroline and Jacqueline does it seem that the Teresa relationship drama will fade, only now she’ll prepare for the battle over her freedom, the ultimate battle for her
During her dramas with her friends and family I was ANYTHING but Team Teresa but
now watching her be humbled with her legal troubles, I am back thinking that she’s got it tough right now and what she definitely needs is sympathy. Whether her and Joe are truly guilty is really a non-issue to me, they are still parents to 4 daughters who absolutely don’t need to lose either parents to the legal system. Watching her and Joe talk about their problems she is finally letting that guard down that crept so far up when she started battled her family and the Manzo/Laurita’s. It’s vintage Teresa because she is being so real and I guess she has no other choice right now, there is no way to run from it. Despite the vastly different circumstances, it is refreshing to see her be real much like she did that first and second season, before she became jaded from what she would consider many, many betrayals. Hopefully she comes out on top and her family remains intact and at some point we start to witness that same funny, happy go lucky Italian girl that says “sangwich” and asks her daughters to do “fabulous”and makes off hand comments about her very happy sex life with “juicy Joe.” Til then, we’ll have to wait and see or “watch what happens.”
